Dickie Morrow Body Shop has 17 employees, and we are proud to say that we are an ASE Blue Seal of Excellence recognized business and also do ongoing I-Car training which provides you with the guarantee that the person who is doing your repairs has been highly trained.
We have approximately 15,000 square feet of space in a well equipped shop, 2000 square feet of office space which includes a spacious waiting room. We have recently added a parts warehouse where we receive and store the replacement parts for each vehicle we repair.
We have wreckers to assist with the transport of any immobilized vehicle.
Our shop features state-of-the-art equipment, including a Chief frame machine with Genesis II computerized measuring system assuring our customers accuracy in the repair of any frame damage.
In our paint department, we have two oversized down-draft paint booths with bake cycles. After the paint is applied it is baked on for a factory like finish. Dickie Morrow Body Shop uses PPG Envirobase refinishing products. The paint is mixed in our shop with computer technology by PPG & ASE certified technicians for a more precise color match.
After painting, the vehicles are carried to our detail center to put the finishing touches on the job. Our office uses the latest in estimating software to ensure current pricing and accuracy. We are able to write estimates, take digital pictures and upload the information directly to your insurance company if needed.
Finally, but most important, you will find that the staff at Dickie Morrow Body Shop are not only trained and certified in each of their fields, but are also friendly and courteous. We try to provide our customers with as much help as we can to resolve their insurance claims and any problems that may arise. Best of all, our work is guaranteed. Please feel free to contact us with any vehicle repair needs and our staff will be happy to assist you.
Dickie Morrow spent part of his childhood with a friend whose dad owned a small auto repair shop. The two boys spent many of the lazy days of summer playing there. Dickie and his mom lived with his grandmother, and they never had much in the way of financial security. Even at that young age, Dickie's dream was to have his own family and own a successful auto body shop.
Dickie got his start in auto body work in the early 60's when he went to work for David Heimer Body Shop in Mt. Pleasant. In the late 60's, Dickie married his high school sweetheart, Ellen Sustaire. David later sold his business and Dickie went to work for David's brother at Surratt & Heimer Body Shop, also located in Mt. Pleasant.
During the 70's Dickie and Ellen were blessed with a son, Todd, and a daughter, Kristi. Dickie opened a small shop of his own in 1982, and so began Dickie Morrow Body Shop.
In 1994, Dickie & Ellen bought and moved Dickie Morrow Body Shop to the former Surratt & Heimer Body Shop where he had previously been employed. Dickie began the process of making the shop his own. Kristi's husband, Stuart Luck joined Dickie a few months later.
The business grew and office space was limited in the existing facility. Dickie and Ellen were in the process of starting building plans for a new office when the building next door which housed an insurance company came available. Dickie was fortunate enough to acquire it and join it to the existing facility. In the late 90's Todd joined the business.
Through the years, Dickie has made many additions, updates, and changes to the existing shop building as well as equipment. Gradually they have added a crew of wonderful folks who they call their business family, who have been and are the heart of our business. With all of the great friends they have made in and around the local communities, Dickie continues to realize his child hood dream, and God has truly blessed his efforts!
